Testimonial by Christine Jensen about "Creating Organizational Cultures of Care"

“I use the tools it gave me in my daily interactions with colleagues and others and, importantly, in my reading of the working environment around me”

This testimonial was written by Christine Jensen, a humanitarian and participant in the course, “Creating organizational cultures of care for transformative change and solidarity in international development” with Maha El-Sheikh and Brooke Lavelle of Courage of Care.

Creating Organizational Cultures of Care for transformative change and solidarity in international development is a unique course which breaks new ground in applying and combining new findings and areas of knowledge from self healing, contemplative and somatic practices, work psychology and more into a powerful - indeed transformative - approach to changing work cultures in the aid community for the better. I was deeply inspired by the course.

I use the tools it gave me in my daily interactions with colleagues and others and, importantly, in my reading of the working environment around me, pushing me to go beyond the responsibility to be a supportive colleague towards co-leading the aspiration to a healthy and happy workplace culture.

If you truly want to see meaningful change in the humanitarian aid system's working cultures and be a part of creating that, I sincerely believe there is no better place to start than with Creating Organizational Cultures of Care.
